Last Updated: September 20, 2026 • Version 1.1
Summary of Key Points
By installing the Checkout Detective Chrome extension or using checkoutdetective.pages.dev, you agree to these Terms. We provide developer diagnostic tools to identify checkout bugs, rate limits, and pixel issues. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans, and you retain complete ownership over all reports you generate.
1Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you (whether individually or on behalf of an entity) and Checkout Detective ("we", "us", or "our"), governing your access to and use of the Checkout Detective Chrome browser extension, website, and related diagnostic software.
By downloading, installing, activating, or browsing the extension or site, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must immediately uninstall and discontinue using the software.
2Software License Grants
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Checkout Detective software in accordance with your chosen subscription tier:
- • Free Starter:Permits personal or internal business evaluation, limited to 5 store audits per calendar month on a single device.
- • Pro License:Grants a commercial, single-user license for unlimited storefront audits, network HAR waterfall diagnostics, full pixel telemetry, and unbranded report generation.
- • Agency Plan:Grants a commercial multi-seat license for up to five (5) authorized team members. Includes explicit rights to white-label generated reports with your agency logo, name, and custom headers, and distribute these reports to third-party clients.
3Prohibited Conduct & Misuse
You agree not to engage in any of the following unauthorized activities:
- Decompiling, disassembling, reverse engineering, or attempting to derive the source code of any proprietary components or offline key algorithms.
- Publishing, sharing, reselling, or leasing your Pro or Agency license keys to unauthorized third parties or public forums.
- Using the diagnostic tool to perform automated scraping, distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) simulations, or hostile load-testing against storefronts without merchant consent.
- Circumventing the monthly audit quota mechanisms of the Free tier.
4Pricing, Billing & 30-Day Refund Guarantee
Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis, as selected at the time of purchase. Pricing is subject to change with 30 days prior written notice to active subscribers.
We stand behind Checkout Detective. If the software fails to meet your technical requirements or does not uncover actionable checkout insights on your stores within the first 30 days of purchase, contact support@checkoutdetective.com for an immediate 100% refund.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your billing portal. Upon cancellation, your license key will remain active until the end of your current billing period, after which it will revert to the Free tier.
5Independent Platform Disclaimer
Important Third-Party Trademark Notice:
Checkout Detective is an independent developer diagnostic utility. Checkout Detective is not affiliated with, associated with, authorized by, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with Shopify Inc., Automattic Inc. (WooCommerce), Meta Platforms Inc. (Facebook/Instagram), or Google LLC, or any of their subsidiaries or affiliates.
The names "Shopify", "WooCommerce", "Meta", "Google Analytics", and related logos and brand marks are registered trademarks of their respective owners. Their mention within this software is solely for platform identification and compatibility description purposes under fair use.
6Disclaimer of Warranties & Diagnostic Heuristics
The software is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. While Checkout Detective uses rigorous deterministic heuristics, network listeners, and DOM inspection algorithms to detect anomalies, we do not warrant that the diagnostic findings will be 100% comprehensive of all conceivable third-party theme customizations or payment gateway outages.
All remediation recommendations (code fixes, liquid adjustments, pixel snippets) are provided as diagnostic guidance. Merchants and developers are advised to test theme modifications in staging environments prior to production deployment.
7Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Checkout Detective, its founders, or contributors be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, or store downtime arising out of or in connection with the use of the software. In no event shall our total aggregate liability exceed the amount paid by you in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
